The Santiam Scrappers Quilt Guild was formed in June 2002 to contribute to the growth and knowledge of quilting techniques, textiles, patterns, history and quilt makers through educational meetings, travel and fellowship. To promote mutual interest in quilting and encourage participation in shows, fairs and community service.

We meet monthly to share our recent projects, participate in programs, listen to guest speakers and make new friends with the same passion for quilting. We have groups within the guild that meet at other days and times to work on service projects or their own items.

As with any organization, it is the varied experiences and talents of our members that give the club its energy. Some members are proficient at applique, some embellish with embroidery, some have the patience for complex paper pieced blocks that boggle the mind of the novice quilters.

Every quilters starts with a first project and learns something new with every quilt after that. It is the inspiration and friendship of other quilters that has made membership in a local guild such a positive thing for so many of us.

Welcome, please join us!

SSQG is now a member of the Latimer Quilt & Textile Center, they have provided guest speakers and become a favorite destination for Oregon quilters.
